Finding Visual Inspiration to Standardize Learning Multimedia Production
The creative industry today demands a high standard in learning multimedia production so educational messages can land as effectively as possible. Through popular platforms like Canva and TikTok, pretty much anyone can now try their hand at making a simple, eye-catching learning video.
But for corporate training needs that call for depth of material and precise visual accuracy, a far more mature, professional approach is required.
These days, even schoolchildren can use simple platforms like Canva and TikTok to put together simple learning videos. In fact, there are plenty of learning videos made by young people that look reasonably professional.
Instagram and TikTok have become hugely popular platforms for micro learning video — the kind of video learning built around very short runtimes, with concise, condensed information delivery paired with fairly eye-catching visuals.
Besides popular social platforms like Instagram and TikTok, YouTube is of course packed with learning videos in all kinds of styles. From Indonesian-language channels to English-language ones, YouTube is now home to plenty of creative people raising the bar for learning video.
Educational channels like Crash Course, Ted-Ed, Vox, and others have succeeded in popularizing learning video while showing that even the most complicated subjects can be enjoyable to learn for anyone.
Awareness of all this is one of the things driving the Monkey Melody team to seek inspiration from a wide range of platforms. Beyond broadening our own horizons, we hope our team can pick up fresh ideas to raise the quality of our learning videos.
Weekly Sharing Sessions: Sharpening the Internal Team's Learning Multimedia Skills
To make that hope a reality, the Monkey Melody internal team holds a weekly multimedia sharing session, which we call our Wednesday session. As part of our own self-improvement, we conduct the entire session in English.
What the team shares varies widely, but most of it ties closely back to multimedia. For instance, someone once talked about a YouTube channel called Ardhianzy that uses cartoons to explain concepts in philosophy and psychology.

Sometimes the discussion isn't limited to learning video at all. Topics like an Instagram carousel post or a video game can also surface interesting ideas that broaden the team's perspective.
For instance, someone once discussed how a game called Lethal Company became one of the most popular indie games of 2023. We also talked about how the creator of that game started their game-developing journey through Roblox, a simple platform that gives anyone the space to build their own game.

We hope these sharing sessions help keep the Monkey Melody team adaptable and hungry to keep learning, so the learning videos we produce can keep growing and stay relevant to our clients' needs.
Through this constant exploration of industry trends, game development, and strong visual case studies, the Monkey Melody team makes sure every learning module we design is both engaging and informative.
We offer a tailored approach to ensure every video we produce achieves its intended training objective. Ready to transform your company's training materials into effective learning videos or interactive videos?
